We can only accept one grocery bag or box of craft supplies per person per day.

Support Scraplanta’s Mission.
Keep Atlanta's Art Scene Creative, Sustainable and Accessible
Your generosity helps us divert usable materials from landfills, offer affordable art supplies, and make creativity accessible to our entire community.

We welcome two types of support:
-
Material Donations (read our restrictions)
-
Financial Donations (one-time or recurring)
Each plays an essential role. Choose the type of donation that’s right for you below.

Material Donations
Scraplanta accepts new and gently used art, classroom, party, and office supplies. We sell these items at low prices to fund our operations or give them away to other non-profits for their programs.
Donating Materials
If you have a single box or bag of items that you can easily carry without a shopping cart, you can bring your donation during normal retail hours. We love donations in paper grocery bags, moving boxes, or plastic totes. Please be mindful of the things we don't accept because it slows down our processing times.
See our Periodic Table of Creative Reuse below to see what we accept, or click here to view a list of these items. We do not accept items in the gray area of the Periodic Table of Creative Reuse.

Scraplanta's Periodic Table of Creative Reuse is a graphic that originated from ReCraft Greenville. This chart is a visual representation of the items accepted at Scraplanta.
Materials Diversion Guide
If you need to get rid of more art supplies than we can accept at this time, please consider donating or recycling with our community partners such as Southeast Fiber Arts Alliance, Lifecycle Building Center, Atlanta Green Theatre Alliance, and LiveThrive.

Although we have an exhaustive list of items we accept, please do not consider us a drop off point for household recycling. One of our amazing interns made a materials diversion guide for hard to recycle materials such as clothing, books, glass, household plastics, and latex paints. Please review and share this guide with your community.
Quick Donation Guide
Here are some quick tips to keep the donation process running smoothly.

Small donations, one grocery store bag or box, are accepted during our retail hours

Check in with a staff member before leaving your donation

Schedule an appointment for donations that are larger than one grocery store bag or box

Do not leave donations outside of our stores

If we sell it on our retail floor, we accept it as a donation

Tax reciepts are mailed at the end of the year
Financial Donations
Atlanta is a vibrant community filled with wonderful creatives who need more access to affordable art supplies and classes. Scraplanta Creative Reuse is proud to be a 501(c)3 non-profit that accepts monetary donations to help fund our mission and operations.
Unlike material donations, monetary donations give us the flexibility to fund what’s needed most—keeping our doors open, our programs running, and our mission growing.
One-time or Recurring Donations
Currently, 70% of our funding comes from our retail store operations, but it's difficult for us to reach our stretch goals when we depend on sales to cover the basics.
Monetary donations help us build a safety net, so we can explore more programs with community partners and increase our waste diversion capacity.

We fundraise with Zeffy to ensure 100% of your donation goes to our mission.
