Our Craft Workshops.

Making Crafting More Accessible

Scraplanta's community workshops are taught by volunteer local artists who are eager to share their skills with the community. In our mission to make art more accessible, we have a sliding-scale price model for our workshops. We treat all participants the same, no matter what price they choose!

Our workshops are hosted in-house and around the community. Please be aware that we're operating in-house workshops in two locations. Double-check the workshop location before purchasing tickets.

Want to Host a Workshop?

Behind our retail store is an amazing classroom space. We provide an inclusive and welcoming environment for Community Educators/Artists to connect with new audiences and develop their skills, and for Community Members to rent and utilize space for community events.

Volunteer to Teach

Community Educators can volunteer to lead a 2–3 hour workshop open to the public at a sliding scale rate. Proceeds support Scraplanta's operating fund, and teachers receive a $15 store credit, free ticket to any future workshop, and a 1 complementary classroom rental hour. Craft and marketing materials are provided by Scraplanta.

Rent the Classroom

Community Members can rent the classroom for $30/hr during retail hours (11am–5pm) and $60/hr after retail hours (6pm–10pm). The space is suitable for club meetings, art workshops, swap meets, etc. Renters can charge admission and retain all the proceeds. Renters also are required to provide their own specialty tools and materials. Scraplanta will not create marketing materials but can promote the event if desired.
